We were excited to see Plymouth Rock where the pilgrims landed. The weather was rainy and gray and reminded us of how dismal it might have been to live there with no buildings or shelter. We also had seen a replica of the rock in a museum earlier in the summer, so it was cool to see the real thing in person. They had a replica of the Mayflower in the harbor. Also in Plymouth is a large monument that we had seen in a documentary called "Monuments" by Kirk Cameron. My mom especially loved showing us all sides of it and how much symbolism there was on it. I think she could have spent a whole day just looking at the Monument to the Forefathers.
